CAROLYN ANN CARVER, 60, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009, 1:45 a.m., at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford, Ohio. She was born May 17, 1948, in Decatur, daughter of Clair and Marjorie (Graham) Carver; they both survive in Monroe. Carolyn was a member of Salem Community Church in Salem, Ind., she attended Adams Central School and was a beautiful singer, as well as playing the piano. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Barbara L. Carver of New Haven; brother, David C. (Lois) Carver of Valparaiso; nephew, Joshua Carver of North Hollywood, Calif.; niece, Cara (E.J.) Olson of Indianapolis; and great-niece, Lila Christine Olson of Indianapolis. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Pastor James Compton officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Tricker Cemetery in Blue Creek Township. Preferred memorials to Celina Visiting Nurses and Hospice, Salem Community Church, National Alliance on Mental Illness or National Foundation for Cancer Research.
