George Culler, 236 Corwin Street, died at 5:15 am on Saturday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was 70. Culler was born February 23, 1905 in Ohio; Parents were Jacob and Sarah (Weichner) Culler. He was a member of the Defiance Plasterers Union in 1924 he married Vera Feeney, who preceded him in death in 1973. He remarried in 1974 to Mildred Scheer, who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters --- Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Shinabery of 213 Glenwood Ave., Mrs. Donald (Pauline) Cromly of 713 Corwin Street Mrs. Jack (Zora) Adams of 611 Ravine Street, Mrs. Vern (Shirley) McDougle of rural Continental and Mrs. Jerry (Marilyn) Smith, rural New Bavaria; a son, Gerald Culler of Route 6, Defiance, 17 grand and nine great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Mrs. Edmund (Virginia) Otto, 907 Holgate Ave., eight step grand and nine step great-grandchildren; five brothers, Harry Culler of rural Hicksville, Jerry Culler of rural Antwerp, Ralph Culler of Hicksville, Milton Culler of Swanton and Clarence Culler of Bowling Green, and two sisters--Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Fetterman of Swanton and Mrs. Ted (Hazel) Peters, of Fremont. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Margie Culler, and a sister, Pearl Endsley. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mast and Mock Funeral Home Rev. Bryan Maxey will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
