NEWPORT NEWS - Mary West Tull passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006. A native of Blackstone, she had been a Newport News resident since 1941. She was a homemaker and served as an elder at Faith Presbyterian Church. She also volunteered at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Tull was preceded in death by her husband, C. James Tull Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Pat Jenkins and her husband, Gordon, of Apple Valley, Calif.; son, Dr. Jay Tull and his wife, Donna, of Annapolis, Md.; three grandchildren, Whitney West Tull, Harrison James Tull and Meredith Rogers Tull, all of Annapolis, Md.; two brothers, Randolph T. West of Williamsburg and Hugh F. West of Grafton; and three sisters, Virginia Koon of Kansas City, Mo., Lelia Douglas of Yorktown and Shirley Beveridge of San Diego, Calif. A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Lynwood Wells at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Faith Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 657 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA 23601. Arrangements by Peninsula Funeral Home.
