Conway...Barbara M. Gore, age 79, wife of the late Winford Gore, of Long Avenue Ext., died Friday, June 6, 2013 at Conway Medical Center.
Mrs. Gore was born in Conway, a daughter of the late G.W. and Ruby Holt McDowell. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. Mrs. Gore was owner and operator of Treasure House Nursery and was Founder and Director of St. James Catholic Child Development.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen E. Gore and David Gore (Toni) all of Conway, four grandchildren, Jonathan Gore, Emily Gore, Shane Floyd (Rebecca) and Staci Floyd, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dr. Charles McDowell (Kim) of Valdosta, GA and Gene McDowell (Alice) of Conway, one sister, Janice M. Causey (Buddy) of Conway and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Stanley and Dr. Charles McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
