Zoe M. Thuma

Zoe May Thuma, 92, Springview Manor, Lima, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Manor.

The service will be at 2:30 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Dwight Norris presiding. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 today and this evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

A homemaker, Mrs. Thuma was born May 28, 1892, in LaRue. She married Dr. Jay C. Thuma, a dentist in LaRue, on Jun 2, 1918. He died July 7, 1973.

Mrs. Thuma joined LaRue United Methodist Church in 1974. She was a 65-year member of May Lenox Chapter 96, Order of the Eastern Star, Happy Tyme Club, LaRue American Legion Auxiliary and LaRue Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a son, Dr. James J. Thuma, Lima; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Ann Peavy, Reno, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her parents, John and Diantha VanArsdale, and five sisters are deceased.
