FALL RIVER/COLUMBUS—Russell B. Waterworth age 96, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Larson House in Columbus. Russell and his twin brother were born on August 9, 1916 to Jay C. and Margaret (Young) Waterworth on a farm just outside of Fall River, WI. He was married to Ramona Hemerley on June 18, 1949 in Kendall, WI. Russell was a life long farmer and enjoyed wintering in Florida and travelling overseas. He also enjoyed travelling to Kendall, Elroy and Tomah to visit his wife's family. At one time, Russell served on the board of directors for the Fall River School District, the Rio-Fall River Union Bank and the Olivet Congregational Church where he sang in the choir. Russell was also a member of the AFS and the Master Farmers. He was a former member of the Columbus Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, a son, a daughter, four grandchildren, two great grandsons, one nephew, two nieces, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Sadie Waterworth; twin brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Doris Waterworth. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the OLIVET CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Columbus. Pastor Lee Zortman officiated. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to the Olivet Church, Larson House, or Columbus Community Hospital.
