Evelyn Moser
(September 4, 1919 - June 6, 2013)
With great sadness, we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. Evelyn (Nyberg) Moser was truly an angel here on earth and is now in heaven soaring with the angels. Your work here on earth is finished. Evelyn Moser passed away June 6, 2013. Evelyn was born September 4, 1919 to Averille and Myrtle Nyburg in Reamsville, KS. Evelyn is the last living member of her brothers and sisters. Evelyn and her husband, Clarence, moved from a farming community in Riverton, Nebraska to Lompoc, Ca. in July 1956. Evelyn was baptized in the Church of Christ on December 2003. She enjoyed her church family, bible studies and Sunday school. One of Evelyn's highlights of her life was her 90th birthday party celebrated in Lompoc, Ca. with friends and family. Evelyn was a very giving person and loved her social part of life. Evelyn was a member of the Moose Lodge, Half Century Club and the American Legion of Lompoc, Ca. She loved to travel, read, and dance and was always willing to help family members and her friends in time of need. She loved her family to call, visit and bring her grandchildren to visit her. Evelyn volunteered at the Lompoc Hospital in 1980/1990's taking care of her husband's mother Margaret Moser who was a resident there. Evelyn cruised the Carribean, Mexico, Hawaii, and visited family in Michigan, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Tennessee, Washington and Utah. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her children; Garrey Moser of Ripon, Ca; Jacquelin (John) Chaudier of Ventura; Ronald (Julie) Moser of Marysville, Wa; Carol (Wayne) Lindhorst of Camino Island, Wa. Duane (Cristine) Moser of Mount Pleasant, Ut and Patty (Alex) Postlewait of Lompoc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Moser and three sons Eddie, Eugene and Jerry Moser. God gifted Evelyn Moser with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who will miss her.
The family of Evelyn B. Moser would especially like to thank the special nurses and CNA's who loved and cared for her the past year at the Comprehensive Care Center here in Lompoc.
Mom, we will miss: your lovely smile, hugs and warm welcomes, your positive thoughts and ideas, our ice cream cones, lunches and rides, your calls, special talks and laughter, our many hours spent together on all the trips. See you in heaven.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 14 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 135 South E St., Lompoc. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Comprehensive Care Center, 216 North Third Street, Lompoc 93436.
