Jo Alice Stout, 82, of Seymour died Friday, June 7, 2013, in Munday, Texas.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Cache Creek Cemetery with Gary Hubbard and Bob Hayley, officiating. Services are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home of Seymour, Texas.

Jo Alice was born September 20, 1930, at the Stout Ranch in Baylor County to Lowe L. and Mary Alice Robertson Stout. She attended Miller Creek and Mary's Creek schools, graduating from Seymour High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University. Jo Alice taught home economics at Seymour and Archer City High Schools. She was a charter member of the Baylor County Historical Society and was involved with the Baylor County 4-H Clubs educational activities. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church. Jo Alice loved to farm and work cattle, and was a lifelong attendee and supporter of the Seymour Rodeo and Reunion. She was also an outstanding seamstress, who taught all of her nieces how to sew and embroidery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowe and Alice Stout; a sister, Patsy Stout Cooper; two brothers, Jack L. Stout and William Frank (Twinkie) Stout; two nephews, Kaven Lowe Stout and infant Holt; and two nieces, Phyllis Jo Cooper and Ashley Holt; two brothers-in-law, Wesley Styles and Nick Holt.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty Lynn Stout Styles of Seymour, and Trixie Stout Holt of Gruver, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Stout and wife, Jo Rozell of Seymour; one sister-in-law, Anne Stout of Seymour; eight nieces; two nephews; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 7 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Cache Creek Cemetery Association, c/o Carolyn Bomberger, 6283 FM 1152, Seymour, Texas, 76380, or the Baylor County Museum.
