"In 1876, 470 unknown Union remains were transferred from Arsenal Island in Illinois, the U.S. Army's contagious disease hospital located on an island in the Mississippi River, known during the war as "Smallpox Island." he was legally Noah B Casto Jr, probably enlisted for service as Noah Curnutt.
