SPEARMAN — Robert R. "Bob" Hammock, 79, of Spearman, formerly of Howardwick and Hereford, died Thursday, June 6, 2013.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Silverton Cemetery in Silverton with the Rev. Dave Stout officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Bob was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Decatur to Roy J. and Addie Mae Hammock. He married Betty Grider Hammock on Dec. 22, 1952, in Decatur.

Bob worked for the Guseman Ranch for many years. He also worked for Pittman Feedyard. Bob was also a Texas Animal Health Commission Inspector. He retired from Bar G Feedyard near Hereford as the mill superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, David Wayne Hammock.

Survivors include a daughter, Stacie Ruga and husband Glenn of Spearman; two sons, Bobby Hammock and wife Kathy of Clovis, N.M., and Tim Hammock and fiancée Beth Johnson of College Station; three sisters, Faye Locklear of White Settlement, Dixie Elliott of Olney and Tommy Sue Fagens of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
