Mr. Hull was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Serving as a radar repairman, he spent 13 years in the U.S. Army, during which time included the Korean conflict. He and his wife were owners and operators of the former Maple Restaurant. An avid gardener and bear hunter, he loved his flowers, as well as time spent metal detecting
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Darlene Lightner; three sisters, Lottie Gutshall, Ora Fulton and Janet Armstrong; and five brothers, Clarence, James, Russell, Glenn "Pete," and Darrel "Dick" Hull; and was the last member of is immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fay Lindsay Hull of Monterey; a daughter and son-in-law, Terry Lynn and Melvin Rexrode of Monterey; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Ira and Barbara Hull of Hightown; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Peanut.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, April 23, at Obaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ernie Lightner, Zack Phillips III, Tracy Smith, Melvin Rexrode, and Bill and Paul Lindsay. Honorary pallbearers will be extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
