Freda M. Scudder, age 70, of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield, Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at 1:25 a.m. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, on August 20, 1929, the daughter of Ben and Minnie (Wright) Prewitt. Freda was a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Franklin E. Gentry and his wife, Ruth of Marion, Indiana, Michael Scudder of Hamilton, and Steve Scudder and his wife, Karen, of Columbia, South Carolina; one daughter, Joanne Nolen of West Chester; two brothers, William Prewitt and his wife, Elizabeth of Middletown, and Winford Prewitt and his wife Ruby of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Sheri, Michelle, Travis, Benjamin and Joel, and one great granddaughter, Sierrah. Se was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hershell, John and Olen Prewitt; and one sister, Drucilla Reynolds.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Saturday, April 22, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
