OBITUARY :
JOY JUANITA BALLARD, 60, a resident of Winchester, Kan., died June 1, 2013, in Hutchinson, Kan.

She was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Gettysburg, Pa., and was the daughter of Chester Linden Ballard and Mildred Marie Naugle Ballard.

She was a graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa., and had an elementary education degree from Sterling College.

She was a Vietnam War veteran with the U. S. Navy.

She was a member of Topeka Bible Church and Hutchinson Lions Club.

She is survived by brother, Scott L. Ballard of Clear Spring, Md.; sisters, Faith Melody Olen of Lake Anna, Va., Linley Marie Conroy of Hollysburg, Pa.; and nephews, Joseph Kim Conroy of Adelphi, Md., and Kevin David Conroy of York, Pa.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m., at Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery in Raymond, Kan., with military honors.
