Andrea "Andy" Lee Willis, 70, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at her residence in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Andrea was born on March 23, 1942, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Walter King and Gladys (Baker) King.

She graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1960. She was a member of the MTHS band and participated in other school activities.

Andy attended Southern Illinois University for one year following graduation from high school. She then worked in the office of Drs. A. R. Esposito and R. M. Rodriquez for three years. Mrs. Willis also worked with Dr. Stallings at his former office in Carbondale.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Murphysboro.

Andy married Robert Willis on August 19, 1966, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and he survives.

Other survivors include her sister Betty King; niece Barbara (Jim) Hughes, nephew Everett (Kathy) Blackwell, and niece Dianna (Jim) Stern; her mother in law Sylvia Willis, brother in law Ed (Marilyn) Willis, sister in law Nora (Bill) Weatherly, and brother in law Jim Ubel; nephews Woodson Fuller, Chris Weatherly, and Mark (Janelle) Ubel, niece Andrea Gavin and nephew Cliff (Debbie) Ubel; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and brother in law Kathryn "Kay" and Richard Blackwell, her father in law Edward Willis, and sister in law Barbara Ubel.

Andy requested that there be no services. She asked that friends take a moment to recall a time when your paths crossed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Building fund, TIP Hospice or St. Francis Care (Animal Shelter).
