Robert C. Fritzler, 85, Windsor, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Kenton Manor Health Care Center.

He was born May 4, 1906, to Henry and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Fritzler in Grimm, Russia.

Mr. Fritzler came to the United States with his widowed mother and two brothers and a sister. They settled in Windsor and worked for various farmers in the beet fields. On Jan. 12, 1932, he married Leah Hill in Windsor. He went to work for the Great Western Sugar Co. in 1947 and retired in 1970 as a foreman. After his retirement he remained active doing carpenter work. His wife died Sept. 8, 1989.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Windsor and the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors are a daughter, Loretta Corsentino of Denver; a son, Robert A. of Keenesburg; a sister, Freda Woodford of Golden; two brothers, Jake Rutz of Castro Valley, Calif., and Henry Rutz of Muscatine, Iowa; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. A granddaughter, Kerry, is deceased.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Windsor. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.

Contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of Adamson Mortuary.
