Charlotte Mackay
Charlotte Afton Taylor Mackay, 98, of Vernal, Utah, passed away Dec. 26, 2004, of natural causes in Tooele where she has been residing with her daughter Neva Woehrmann for the past seven years.
Afton was born Nov. 8, 1906, in Vernal to Ruben and Charlotte E. Green Taylor. She married Mark Evan Mackay Dec. 24, 1927, in Vernal. They were blessed with eight children. Mark preceded her in death in 1992.
She was also preceded in death by her father; mother; stepfather; five brothers and sisters; son Bryce Mackay; daughter Zola Wann; son-in-law Carl Woehrmann and granddaughter Kathie Woehrmann.
Afton is survived by three sons and three daughters, Nolan (Diane) Mackay of Mesquite, Nev., Verle (Gwenda) Mackay of Vernal, Keith (Debbie) Mackay of Vernal, Neva Woehrmann of Tooele, Gayla (Terry) Anderson of Riverton, Linda (Charles) Jones of Vernal.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; and one sister Velda Robbins Hadlock of New Braunfels, Texas.
Funeral services are being held Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. at the Thomson Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
