Cumberland Nursing Home, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, at
Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born Aug. 4, 1903, in Confluence, he was the son of the late George
and Annie (Ringler) Leonard.
He was a retired employee of the Allegany County Roads Department.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Leonard, Martinsburg, W. Va.; and
Richard Leonard, Wellersbug; three daughters, Myrtle Holt,
Cresaptown, Md., Josephine Norris, Grand Ledge, Mich.; and Betty
Burley, Ellerslie, Md., and two sister, Edith Zimmerman, Fort Hill;
and Minerva Hillard, Ursina.
Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary;
LaVale, Md. Services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mount
Savage United Methodist Church by the Rev. Thomas E. Young Jr. and
the Rev. Pat Malone. Interment Mount Savage United Methodist
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Martin, Daniel Patton, David Turley, Richard
Turley, Richard Winebrenner, William Winebrenner and Earl Trimble.
