McMinnville resident and Pickett County native Bonnie H. Bilbrey, 94, died March 13 at her daughter's residence in Madison, Tenn.
A retired school teacher with the Warren County School System and a member of Forest Park The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophronia Zachary Huddleston and was preceded in death by her husband, Kimoth Howard Bilbrey and daughter, Margaret Conner.
She is survived by a daughter, Sophrona Bilbrey of Madison; son-in-law, Junior Conner of Christiana, Tenn.; grandchildren David and Linda Conner of Avon, Ind., Kim and Wade Bryant of McMinnville and Dennis and Paula Conner of McMinnville; and a great-grandson, Jared Conner of Cookeville.
Services will be held today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Ernest McBride officiating. Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Good Hope Cemetery in Overton County. The Bilbrey family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

Aunt Bonnie married Kimoth Howard Bilbrey Nov. 1 1935 in Clay County Tennessee. She had 2 daughters Sophrona Mae Bilbrey, and Margaret Howard(Bilbrey) Conner . She has 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Bonnie was a Elementary Teacher in McMinnville Tennessee she loved to cook and sew, she was a good christian lady she loved children . But even tho her husband Kimoth was a farmer and grew cattle she was always scared of the cows . She was one of about nine syblings ,her father was Thomas Benton Huddleston and her mother was Sophrona Ellen (Zackery) Huddleston.
I always loved to go to Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Kimoths farm to visit. She was a very loving woman ,and a really good country cooker too.
At Christmas time she would send our family some cute poem she made up sometimes for each of our kids or maybe for one of either George or I . She passed away thirteen days before my Fatherinlaw Earl Delon Bilbrey same month and year.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
