Barbara was the daughter of Claude Kenyon and Margaret Robie. Her paternal grandparents were Almonte Kenyon and Alice Hake. Her maternal grandparents were Hial Pembroke Robie and Eva B. Hoffman.

"Anderson, Barbara of Highland Park, was born on November 16th in Shreveport, LA. She died on December 20, 2012 and was reunited with the love of her life, T. Ned Anderson. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Gay (Brett) Morris and Barbara (Roy) Washburn; grandchildren, Becky Morris Gohs, Cindy Morris Redman, Ned Washburn and Janie Washburn (Dane) Bruun; and great grandchildren.

She loved cooking and was a leader in her organizations; quietly guiding others. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and the St. Michael's Altar Guild, Mentor Club and others. She received the Paul Harris Fellow award from The Rotary Club. We thank our caring angels, Diane Johnson Joplin and Karen Cagle and Eva Fontanillas. Services will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in the St. Michael Chapel at 3:00pm on Thursday, Dec. 27th."

"Dr. Roy S. Washburn is a 1973 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. He completed a one year general dentistry residency program in the USAF prior to becoming an assistant professor at Baylor College of Dentistry. He taught for two years in the department of fixed prosthodontics while working on a one year research federal grant on tooth reimplantation at Baylor and he was honored with the Vernon Johnson Trophy from the Academy of General Dentistry and the Founders Trophy for the best table clinic presentation at The Dallas Mid-Winter Convention.

Dr. Washburn is a member of the Sleep Disorders Dental Society, for providing treatment for snoring and sleep apnea. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, The Texas and American Dental Societies, as well as the American Orthodontic Society and the Academy of GP Orthodontics.

He is very active in the community having served on the boards of the Park Cities YMCA (Chairman in 1996), Dallas Can Academy, Rotary Club of Park Cities (chairman of the Rotary Club of Park Cities July 4th Parade for eight years), and State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarships. He has served on the Vestry for St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church where he co-chaired the Medical-Dental Committee Jubilee Project for Humanity in East Dallas. He is founder and chairman of The Chemical Awareness Council/Park Cities Inc., Board member of K-Life and Young Life Youth Ministries, Special Camp for Special Kids, Camp John Marc, Swiss Avenue Counseling Center, and My Guardian Angel. For many years he has been providing care for the Uganda Children’s Charity and annually sponsors the Dentistry From the Heart program for the disadvantaged in South and East Dallas.

He has been happily married to Barbara Anderson Washburn for 40 years with two grown children."
