"Ruby Perry

LAWNDALE — Mrs. Ruby Mae Hamrick Perry, 79, of 119 Martin St., died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at home.

Born June 24, 1925, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Henry T. and Lizzie McKinney Hamrick. She retired from Cone Mills and Textiles and was a member of Double Shoals Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Samuel Perry; a son, Billy Perry; and a sister, Ruth Hamrick.

She is survived by a daughter, Kaye Dobbins and husband, David, of Cornelius; a granddaughter, Melinda Hinson and husband, Bryant, of Lawndale; a grandson, Billy Dobbins of Cornelius; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Alec Hinson.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Double Shoals Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eric Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.

The family will receive friends tonight at Stamey Funeral Home from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
