Born in Hallstown, England, the daughter of James and Joanna Stevens, she came with her parents to Nesquehoning, PA, when she was six years old. She was married 7 Aug 1865 to Nathan Fritz and moved to Ashley.

She was the mother of seventeen children and was survived by her husband, Nathan, and brother, Josiah Stevens of Hazleton, and the following children:
William Fritz of Newport, Washington (who became a flame eater and sword swallower with the Barnum and Bailey Circus)
Mrs. Robert Price of Wilkes-Barre
Mrs. G. C. Seibert of Brantford, Ontario
Mrs. Peter Dane of Wilkes-Barre
Mrs. Max Alexander of Ashley
Nathan Fritz, Jr. of Ashley
Edward Fritz of New Castle, PA

Son, William, went by the name "Delno Fritz" and appeared in the 1928 silent film, The Man Who Laughs, based on a Victor Hugo novel.
