Louise H. Aderhold, born June 21, 1916 in Jackson, Tennessee, died in San Antonio, Monday, December 24, 2001. She was a longtime member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church. A graduate of the Jackson Public Schools, she received a BA degree from Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee in 1937 and her MS degree from LSU in 1942. She served in the U.S. Navy (Waves) from 1942-1944 during which time she met and married her husband, James P. Aderhold, M.D., then a Commander in the US Navy. Prior to her war-time service, she taught school in Kansas and Arkansas and resumed her teaching career in San Antonio in 1963 and retired in 1977 after teaching at Jefferson High School. Mrs. Aderhold was a member of the San Antonio Country Club and the Battle of Flowers Association. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ed R. and Rose Haskins Aderhold; her husband, James P. Aderhold, M.D.; brothers, James Freeman Haskins and Robert Frederick Haskins and her sister, Mary Lee Haskins Engstrom. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Aderhold Rasmussen and husband, Christopher L., San Jose, CA; son, James E. Aderhold and wife, Anne, San Antonio; granddaughters, Laura Christine Rasmussen and Mary Louise Rasmussen, both of San Jose, CA; grandsons, James E. Aderhold, Jr. and Robert T. Aderhold, both of San Antonio. GRAVESIDE SERVICE THURSDAY 2:00 P.M. MISSION BURIAL PARK NORTH The Rev. John McMullen, from Austin, (formerly of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church) officiating.
