In 1903, Harry Leslie was seriously injured in a train wreck carrying the Purdue University football team. 16 people on board were killed. He graduated from Purdue University and received his law degree from Indiana University. He was the Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives in 1925 and 1927. 33rd Governor of Indiana, January 14, 1929-January 9, 1933; delegate to Republican National Convention from Indiana, 1932.
