Rena Belle Hensley Rose, 85, of Brassfield, passed away Monday morning, November 24, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Rose was born on November 17, 1923, the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Carr Hensley. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse, was a member of The Speedwell Christian Church, and was the widow of Manuel Rose.

Survivors include one son: Jack A. Rose (Charlotte) of Brassfield, two sisters: Freda Sweazy (James) of Louisville and Louise Hensley of Brassfield; one brother: Joe H. Hensley (Mary Lee) of Richmond; a sister-in-law; Orline Proctor Hensley of Brassfield and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Glyn Edward Hensley.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday, November 28, 2009 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, with Bro. Dennis Pasley and Bro. Maurice Dula officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Sewell, Adrian Hensley, David Hensley, Billy Hensley, Randy Hensley and Larry Mullins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Maupin, Bobby Combs, Clyde Benge, Jerry Hayes, Wayne Lakes, Burnam Cox, Larry Cox, Bruce Chrisman and Darrell Mullins.
