Melissa Gault Ross, 26, wife of David Ross of 114 W. Gregg St., Fort Mill, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005.

Mrs. Ross was born July 8, 1979, a daughter of James E. Gault and the late Nancy Wix Fowler. She was the stepdaughter of Tammy Gault; the granddaughter of Kathleen Gault and the late Buddy Gault and Nancy Wix and the step-granddaughter of Sara and Ronald Heatherly and Douglas Howell, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Baptist Church of Newberry.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Amy, Kayla, Kasie and Tiffany Ross of the home; a step-son, Lee Ross of Newberry; three sisters; Amanda Gault, Jessica Gault and Allison Gault; a step-sister, Crystal Haney; five halfsisters, Courtney Petty, Crystal Bostic, Maggie Gault, Kristi Sisk and Holly McAbee; a brother, Kevin Gault, two step-brothers, Allen Millwood and Wesley Millwood, four half-brothers, Bo Gault, Gene Gault, J.J. Gault and Scotty McAbee. Mrs. Ross was predeceased by a brother, Jeremiah O'Dell.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and the Rev. Scott Cobb. Active pallbearers will be Douglas Howell Jr., Steven Howell, Wesley Millwood, R.D. Williams, B.J. Gilkison and Richie Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Howell.

The body will be taken to the home of her father, 400 North Church St., Union, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening.
