HAYDEN TOM MARSH CLAIMED BY DEATH ON FRIDAY, MAY 8

Hayden Tom Marsh was born near Florence, Kans., June 12, 1874, and passed to his reward May 8, 1942, age 67 years and 11 months.
At about 10 years of age he, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adin Marsh and brothers and sisters, moved to Colby, Wis., and later to Florence, Ala., where his parents and one brother are buried. He grew to manhood, then went to Canon City, Colo., where on April 12, 1905, he was married to Miss Mamie V. Dunn. They established their first home there.
In October, 1910, Mr. and Mrs. Marsh, together with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Dunn, parents of Mrs. Marsh, moved to Long Beach, Calif. In May, 1923, they moved from Long Beach to Monrovia an built their present home at 740 Mt. View avenue, which they planned and worked together for a home, which many friends have come to enjoy with them for "It was a real home."
Mr. Marsh early in life gave his heart to God and lived a true, earnest, Christian life, and was ready to meet his God and reward in Heaven. He bore his suffering without a complaint and always had a smile.
He leaves his beloved wife, Mamie V.; one sister, Luella Biggs, of Louisville, Neb.; brother, Will Marsh of Sams Valley, Ore.; and brother, George Marsh of this city, also a number of nieces and nephews and great, and great great nieces and nephews, who truly mourn for him, for they loved him.
Mr. Marsh was a member of Neighbors of Woodcraft, and Woodmen of the World, and an honorary member of Odd Fellows lodge of Canon City, Colo.
Mr. Marsh was a brother-in-law of Jesse L. Dunn and of the late Paul C. Dunn and son-in-law of the late W. A. Dunn of Canon City.
Mr. and Mrs. Marsh spent the first five years of their married life in Canon, built the brick house on Lincoln avenue, Four Mile, for their first home and also on Seventh near Rudd, and on the corner of Eleventh and Macon, which they owned and sold when moving to California in 1910. They have many friends in and around Canon City.
