ONTARIO, Ore. — A.S. "Joe" Hogenmiller, 74, died Sunday at his home in Ontario.
He was born Sept, 30, 1897, at Jeannette, Pa. He was a carpenter and worked on construction all his life. He went to Washington state in 1919, moved to Melba, Idaho, in 1920, to Nampa in 1931, awl came to Ontario in 1951.
He married June Pline in Vale, Ore., on July 2, 1931.
He and his wife operated the Ontario Auto Court here. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Mr. Hogenmiller is survived by his wife of Ontario; a son, Albert Hogenmiller, Rushville, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Burk (Doria Jo) Schindel, Mountain Home, Idaho; a brother, Louis Hogenmiller, Cambridge, Pa.; and grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bertelson-Lienkaemper Memorial Chapel in Ontario. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Father Kirk Clemens. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Nampa.
