MARY JANE BECKMAN, 66, of Chicago, formerly of Ottawa, died at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 27, 2005, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Glandorf to Edwin H. and Alice Niese Beckman, who preceded her in death.

Miss Beckman was an executive secretary for the Lurie Co., Chicago. She was a member of Old St. Mary Catholic Church, Chicago, and the 3rd Order of St. Francis.

Survivors include a brother, Joseph Beckman of Ottawa; four sisters, Joan (Thomas) Kreinbrink of Leipsic, Madonna (Gerald) Schroeder of Columbus Grove, Bernadette Bockrath of Glandorf and Marguerite (Dan) Chamberlin of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Father Tim Knepper will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
