Flora Sandoval Archuletta, 92, passed away Dec 8, 2007, in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born in Lajara, Colorado near Capulin, Colorado. Her mother Felicita Pacheco Sandoval passed away when Flora was very young. She was raised by her father, Jose Ventura Sandoval and her older sisters and brothers. In 1930 she married Michael Tony Archuletta in Salida, Colorado. The couple moved to Florence Colorado, where they raised nine Children. She was widowed on Dec 20, 1983 and in 1999 she moved to Pueblo, where she lived until her death. Flora was a Gold Star mother from Fremont County Chapter, and also a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
She is survived by six children, Celina Duran of Denver, Colorado, Vivian Aragon of Pueblo, Colorado, James Archuletta of Pueblo, Colorado, Dorothy Brown of Columbia, MO, Louis Archuletta of Wichita, KS, and Michael T Archuletta of Florence, Colorado; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons Ray Adam Archuletta and Tony Archuletta Jr; and one daughter Clofas Mary Archuletta.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday December 12, 2007, at Wilson Funeral Home in Canon City, Colorado. Funeral service, 2 PM Dec 13, 2007, Wilson Chapel in Canon City, Colorado, with Bishop John Tappen as celebrant. Internment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, Colorado. A reception will follow internment at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Fellowship Hall, 3180 east Main street, Canon City, Colorado. Arrangements handled through Holt Funeral Home.
