Mr. Rodney Lee Coleman, loving husband, father, grandfather,
brother and friend entered eternal rest Saturday, March 29, 2008 at
the age of 66.
He was born in Piedmont, Mo. on July 7, 1941; his smile and tender
personality will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Coleman proudly served his country with the United States
Army as a 63 HSPC mechanic from October 1963 to October
1965. While serving our country,Mr. Coleman was qualified as a
sharpshooter (rifle M-16) and was awarded a mechanic badge
W/Bar and a Good Conduct Medal for his devotion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett J. and Mary E.
Coleman.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his beloved wife Raquel E. Coleman,
children and his stepchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers James,
Almon, Larry and Wesley , his sister Sharon and numerous nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
A prayer service will be held Monday, March 31, 2008, at 7 p.m.
at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. Visitation
will be from 5 to 9 p.m.A chapel service will be held
Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 9:30 a.m.at Joe Jackson North Funeral
Chapels. Rev. Ron Scott will be officiating. Interment will follow
at the family plot in the Veteran’s section at the Laredo City Cemetery.
The Post 59 of Webb County will provide military honors.
