Dortha Jane Kersey, 92, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehab - Woodland, Elizabethtown.
She was native of Park City, Barren County and was a member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 64 years, Milton Kersey, parents, Charles H. and Mary (Rountree) Stone of Barren County; twin brother Duard J. Stone, brother Charles M. Stone and sister Charlien M. Tidrick.
She is survived by three sons Charles M. Kersey of Eastview, James G. and his wife Darlene Kersey of Cub Run, Dale W. and his wife Sheri Kersey of White Mills; a daughter, Gale J. and her husband Charles Vinson of Murray; five grandchildren, Sean Kersey of Louisville, Tim and his wife Jen Kersey of Santa Monica, CA, Todd and his wife Cathy Vinson of Moncks Corner, SC, Kelly Kersey of White Mills, and Benjamin and his wife Melissa Kersey of Hopkinsville; and one great grandson, Nathaniel Moore.
The funeral is at 11 A.M. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Dr. Danny Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. and continues at 9 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home..
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
