about Thomas Phelps Name: Thomas Phelps Year: 1658
Place: Maryland Source Publication Code: 2524.55
Primary Immigrant: Phelps, Thomas Annotation:
Date and port of arrival. Extracted from Maryland Land Office records of patents and warrants. Reference to original record or transcript and microfilm number are also provided. Other historical and genealogical information may also be provided. The first Source Bibliography:
GIBB, CARSON. A Supplement to The Early Settlers of Maryland. Annapolis, MD: Maryland State Archives, 1997. 248p. Page: 172. Thomas also traveled to Maryland from England in 1650 with a record of this too on ancestry.com.

Thomas Phelps was the parent of the following known children: John and William Phelps.

I saw some notes on ancestry.com and don't know what they mean, perhaps someone can shed some light on this in the future. This came from someone's family tree on ancestry: Thomas Phelps Master ship "Dolphin" and William Phelps Master ship "Shoreham".

He was Master of ship 'Dolphin'. One of only 2 merchant ships to survive the Battle of the James River against a Dutch Fleet.

Thomas died before Oct 3, 1672, the date that Cornelius Howard and Henry Ridgely appraised his personal estate at 25,270 lbs. tobacco, £105, 5 shillings, 10 pence. They also mentioned a plantation in Baltimore Co.
