Jerry David Schulz, 72, Pontiac, formerly of Leland, passed away Tuesday (June 4, 2013) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
He was born March 27, 1941 in Pontiac, the son of William Herman and Marie Theresa Schoop Schulz. He married Jeanne Hobart on Sept. 3, 1960 in Pontiac. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Peg and Louise and four brothers, Jim, Marshall, Don and Butch.
He is survived by his special friend, Janet Hurt; two daughters, Vonnie (Rick) Hayden and Becki (Jim) Castelli; eight grandchildren, Ashlie (Brian) Biles, Alexis Hayden, Mark (Jen) Hayden, Brooke (Tim) Paneitz, Bret (Chantal) Hayden, Jake Castelli, Justine Castelli and Joselynn Castelli; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dort Jobst; one brother, Ken Schulz and several nieces and nephews.
