Russell S. "Rusty" McCoy, 51, passed away June 6 at Mercy Hospital. Rusty was born July 5, 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Charlie and Ilene (Jacobs) McCoy.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Eggers; and life partner, Jim Galsche.
He is survived by his siblings, Dayle (Lloyd) Cundiff, Sharon Welling, Charlotte (Gerald) Warren, Linda (Mike) McEvoy, Chuck (Judy) McCoy, Michael McCoy, Greg McCoy, Pat (Jane) McCoy, Randy McCoy and Shelley McCoy. Many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment Garner Township Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Rainbow Post #2. Memorials are suggested to the family.
