Marion Elizabeth Weihl
July 2, 1950 - June 4, 2013
Marion E. Weihl of Mt. Morris, formerly of Caro, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1950 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Leham) McCloskey. After Marion was born, along came seven siblings to whom she was a mother hen. Marion was a 1968 Kingston High School graduate. She worked at Barrigar's Truck Stop at M24 & M46, General Cable in Cass City, Fisher Body Coldwater Plant and Auto Blankers, both of Flint. In addition to working full time, Marion made cakes of all sorts and sizes over the years. Her cakes were the envy of many occasions, from births to weddings and everything in between. Upon losing all three of her children, Marion filled the void with animals. She had a special way with animals, and as a result had many dogs, cats and a variety of other unique species.

Left to cherish Marion's memory are her siblings, Becky Wright and fiancé, Bill Hoeft, Robie and Dave Crosby, Brian McCloskey, Devin McCloskey and friend, Roger Ziegelmann; eight nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews; her friend and companion Brian Kelly; an aunt, Joyce Morris; as well as several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three children, Doris, Neil and Wayne Nelson; two brothers, Tommy and Brad McCloskey; one sister, Patti McCloskey; and her remaining aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Kellie French, United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in the East Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Weihl Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Robie Crosby, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723, or the Humane Society of the donor's choice.
