David Selby was born Jan. 21, 1949, in Durant, the son of Luther David Selby Jr. and Bettye Jo Hinton Selby. David married Andrea Peto on Jan. 1, 1992, in Las Vegas. He enjoyed fishing, loved to write and read, liked to boat and loved working with wood. He was a metal sculptor, liked hiking and spending time walking in the woods. David loved to spend time at the beach, enjoyed nature and he loved his dog "Vincent." David was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Selby; two sons, Jerod Andrew-John Keevican and wife, Heather, and Joseph David-Bartholomew Selby and wife, Megan; two daughters, Lori Denise Lester and husband, Scott, and Robin Renae Rickel and husband, Scott; one brother, James Selby and wife, Sue; and five grandchildren, Corey Lester, Sarah Lester, Lauren Rickel, Haley Rickel and Andrew John Keevican.
