Note from Claudia Arneson (contributor # 48804116) dated August 30, 2018: "According to the book "Descendants of Joseph Charles and Lucy DeClerq Van Hercke" written and compile by granddaughter Florence Boehm Vandever in 1984, page 69: Carl had a twin sister, Marie, who was born 10 Dec 1889 and in 1895 from scarlet fever. She is buried at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Pierz, Minnesota."
