In 1960, she immigrated to Canada to marry her beloved George and embark on her new life in Regina. Soon after she began to work in the food and beverage industry and in the years that followed became a mother and raised her family with great love and care.

She was a woman devout in her Greek Orthodox Faith and an active member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Parish community. Etched in the hearts and the minds of those that had the pleasure to know her, she will be fondly remembered in numerous ways, for her wit, sense of humour, her emphasis on family values and tremendous work ethic, her kindness and optimism, her courage, determination and strength, her laugh, smile, for her voice, intellect and wisdom, her love of cooking, gardening, books, music, and of course, the volumes of expression through her eyes which were the window to her heart.

Forever remembered and greatly missed. The family would sincerely like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for their outstanding care and support, to the nursing staff of Ward 3F at the Regina General Hospital, Dr. Kontsiotis, RQHR Home Care and Mrs. Lily DeGulle, Barbara's private care giver.
