Christopher Camp was a Civil War veteran and married into the Idaho pioneer family of Abraham & Rhoda Brock. He married Eva Brock in Kansas before striking out to the Idaho mines that were prevalent in the Rockies during the end of the Civil War period. His wife's family also making established their place in Idaho history.

Chris Camp homesteaded with his in-laws up on Little Bear Ridge outside Moscow & Genesee before succumbing to an "old soldier's disease" and being transferred to Boise for treatment and then on to the state insane asylum. These folks were all Idaho pioneers.
