PANCHERI, Arthur James
March 14, 1928 - June 1, 2013
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Art Pancheri graduated from Boy's Tech H.S. and attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army, working with military ski troops in Colorado. Art met his wife, Mary Ann in Milwaukee and they were happily married for 62 years.

Art and Mary Ann moved around the Midwest and Northeast with Art working in the electronics industry. Art established a successful business in Ohio called A J Associates, working as a national sales representative for 20 years until he retired in 1998. His grandchildren spent summers in Ohio and fondly knew him as Grampy. He and Mary Ann eventually moved to Folsom to be near their daughter Cecelia Cutler and husband Cole.

Art was a gifted storyteller and man of many interests. He loved fishing, hunting, bird-watching, astronomy, was a golfer and Green Bay Packers fan. From fostering his passion for technology in his grandson Scott and brother-in-law Dick, to allowing his granddaughter Annie to use power tools at the age of 12, Art brought out the best in those around him. In his older years, Art was active in the Sons in Retirement organization, serving as president and vice president. Art was also president of Friends of the Folsom Powerhouse, where he worked as a docent and penned a book titled The Folsom Powerhouse Story.

Art passed away on June 1, 2013 after a brief illness. He was 85 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, his beloved daughter Cecelia Cutler and her husband Cole, grandson Scott Cutler of San Jose and granddaughter Anne Mason and husband Joseph of New Orleans, LA. Art is also survived by his sisters Sylvia DuBois of Pewaukee, WI and Phyllis Goodwin and her husband Art of Arnold, brother-in-law Dick Suchter and wife Renee of Arcadia and sister-in-law Dolores Schilz of Muskego, WI. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin, California, Washington and Oregon.

A funeral mass and reception is planned for 11:30 am on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Folsom. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Citrus Heights.
