Mrs. Ida Gray, 71, Dies From Injuries
The death of Mrs. Ida Gray, Thursday night following injuries received when she was struck by a car early Thursday evening. Mrs. Gray, who was 71, was knocked down while crossing a street near her home on Coleman Hill. It was generally conceded that the accident was unavoidable and deep sympathy is felt for the driver of the car.

Mrs. Gray was a practical nurse for a number of years and held the affection of all with whom she came in contact.

The funeral service was held at the Athens Cemetery Friday with Bro. M.A. Creel, of the Church of Christ, conducting the service. McConnell Service was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were J.G. Rochell, W.T. Andrews, T. Johnson, A.J. Bullington and John G. Sandlin.

Surviving are a half-sister, Mrs. Allie Shearon; two nephews, Dr. J.A. Shearon and Sam Hughey; two nieces, Mrs. Clatie Reynolds and Mrs. Mary Duren; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
