Died Sunday, February 19, 2012.
Born May 15, 1938.
Son of Sally and Alfred Geiger of Cudahy.
He graduated from Cudahy High School June 7, 1956.
He worked at Trinity Memorial Hospital (now known as St. Luke's South Shore) where he met his future wife, Judy Bohenka.
A graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961.
He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1962, serving 2 years as PFC and working in the medical lab in the army hospital.
On June 9, 1962, he married Judy and she survives at the family home in Cudahy.
Lou did 1 year internship at the V.A. Hospital.
He started and operated a lab at the Medical Surgical Clinic for 4 years.
He was President at Chem-Bio Corp. which services nursing homes and companies through out Wisconsin.
In August 1979, he received his Master degree from Central Michigan University.
He taught 1 year at Concordia College in the lab.
He started the family owned business of MEDIVAN, Inc. in December 1985 located at 4953 S. Packard Ave., Cudahy, celebrating our 27th year in business.
He was president his first year and then became secretary and was on the board of directors, thereafter.
He and Judy also started L&J Enterprises.
Lou bought a seasonal home in Adams Friendship, WI and was a board member of Lakewood Association and started the association on Castle Rock Lake Adams, Friendship, WI.
Lou was presented the Kiwanian of the Year Award of Oak Creek in 1986.
He worked on the building and grounds committee for the new Cudahy Family Library in 2003.
He and Judy bought the kitchen for the Cudahy Family Library.
Lou retired from MEDIVAN, Inc. in 2005.
Lou was awarded Business Person of the Year in March 2008 form the Cudahy Chamber of Commerce.
Lou lived a full and rich life. He loved to read, do word search puzzles, travel, movies, watch Green Bay Packer Games (with popcorn), cook and enjoy his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Judy, of 49 years of marriage, son Scott, son Christopher (Karla), daughter Lisa (Gary) Marifke, son Peter (Christine), son Jay (Michele).
He has 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Zachary, Brittany, Andrew, Nicholas, Hollie, Jarrod, Jenna, Jacob and Maxwell.
Godfather of Lydia Kelly in Tucson, AZ, other family and dear friends.
The family will receive friends celebrating Lou's life at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (3774 E. Underwood Ave., Cudahy) from 4PM until 7PM, Thursday, February 23, 2012.
A private family service will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012.
Committal will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Diabetic Association appreciated. Special thanks to the ICU staff at St. Francis Hospital for their care of Lou.
