Grace married Edward D Taylor on Oct. 2, 1918, in Omaha, Neb.

July 6, 1984 - Humboldt county Independent - Grace C. Taylor, 86, of Livermore died Thursday, June 28, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the United Methodist Church in Livermore, with the Rev. George Brighton officiating. Casket bearers were Maurice Olson, Gary Schaffer, Floyd Raney, Elden Landolt, Duane Wood and Virgil Hansel. Burial was in Livermore Union Cemetery, with the Wilson Funeral Home of Livermore in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Juanita) Hoffman of Callender; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great great grand daughters.

Grace Shryers was born March 31, 1899, in Camargo, IL. She attended school at Longview and Homer in Illinois, and worked at home until marrying Ed Taylor on Oct. 2, 1918, in Omaha, Neb. They moved to Fort Dodge where she was employed as a chef at the Royal 400 Nightclub for 15 years. They then purchased Grace's Lunch in Fort Dodge, operating that for three years, before moving to Livermore in 1957, where they operated the Town Tavern along with their son Robert, until retiring in 1969, a year after the death of their son.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Livermore United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, and was a 50-year member of VFW Auxiliary 1856 of Fort Dodge.
