In September, 1909, this advertisement appeared in sesveral papers: :" NOTICE-- Any person who can give information concerning the whereabouts or death of Armena Walker, who married George Strong, a veteran of the Civil War, sometime prior to 1864, will confer a favor by informing J. A. Walker, Pension Attorney, Cavendish."
About 1870, George moved to the area then known as Factoryville, in Chester, Vermont.
