Little Boy Victim of Scarlet Fever
Philip Benedict Sanford, the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Sanford, of South St., passed away Monday afternoon after a five day illness with scarlet fever.
The child was stricken with the disease last Wednesday and later complications of the brain set in which were the immediate cause of his death.
He is survived by his father and mother and one sister, Harriet. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community.
The funeral was held this afternoon at 4:00 o'clock with services conducted at the grave by the Rev. W. W. Dieterich of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
