Sally Ann Thompson, 76, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and former resident of Malone, New York, Mrs. Thompson passed away suddenly.

She was born in West Carthage, New York, the daughter of the late Leland C. Redmond and Marion A. Bradish.

Mrs. Thompson attended school in Natural Bridge, New York, and graduated from West Carthage High School as Validictorian with the Class of 1954. She attended classes at Western Wyoming Community College, majoring in Education. She worked as a secretary, a receptionist and a teacher's aide.

She married William Arthur Thompson in Natural Bridge, New York, on April 7, 1956.

Mrs. Thompson was a member and past president of GFWC Woman's Club and member of Media Temple, Northern Constellation Lodge #2918 of the Eastern Star and past-worthy matron.

Survivors include three sons, William A. Thompson, III and wife Judie of Salt Lake City, Utah, David A. Thompson and wife April of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Jeremy R. Thompson and wife Stacy of Rock Springs; four daughters, Mary Beth Thompson and life partner Serene of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Cynthia T.Abbott and husband Jeffrey of Phoenix, Arizona, Meredith J. Janssen and husband John of Green River, Wyoming, and Johanna E. Thompson of New York City, New York; two sisters, Mari Lee Lynch of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Lynda L. Hall and husband David of Phoenix, Arizona; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by parents Leland and Marion Redmond; one sister Nancy J. Cimiyotti; two brothers-in-law Albert Lynch and Wendell Hutt; and one son-in-law Barry G. Thompson-Cook.

Following cremation at the Vase White Mountain Crematory, Memorial Services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Inurnment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel one hour prior to services.
