CHEYENNE, Woyming--Cheryl E. Brenneman, 73, of Cheyenne, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Life Care Center.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Spangler Chapel Church in Muscatine, Iowa.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. Memorial Contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church; Susan B Komen Foundation; or to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Kanab Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741.

Cheryl was born on August 18, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa, a daughter to Lyall and Lenore Hopkins Esmoil. Cheryl lived in Iowa most of her life before moving to Cheyenne and then Colorado and back to Cheyenne in 2000. She married Virgil Brenneman on June 30, 1957, in Muscatine, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2010.

Cheryl was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and was very active in the Church. She belonged to the United Methodist Women and the Red Hat Society. She was an avid bird watcher and also enjoyed crafts, games such as scrabble and yahtzee, reading and most of all loved animals. She reached out to women everywhere and helped educate about breast cancer. She herself was a 16 year breast cancer survivor.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas Brenneman of Cheyenne, Douglas Brenneman and wife, Liann of Laramie, and Gregory Brenneman of Muscatine, Iowa; a daughter, Pamela Arnold and husband, Dave, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four brothers, Orval, Mike, and Ron Esmoil all of Muscatine, Iowa, and Jim Esmoil of Madison, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Amber, Douglas, Jr., Cynthia, Kenneth, Kaliegh, Cody, Cassandra and Kolton Brenneman; and four great grandchildren, Catlynn, Haley, Cameron and Karisa Brenneman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
