SARAH L. KELSAW-HAWKINS, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Parkview Reginal Medical Center. She was born on July 24, 1922, in Millers Ferry, Ala. She leaves to cherish her memory brother, Fred Kelsaw Jr. of Fort Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. She was a Home Health Aide and retired after many years of dedicated service. She was also a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Sam Shade, Jr.

Surviving are her brother, Fred (Vivian) Kelsaw of Fort Wayne; two sister-in-laws, Marcella Kelsaw of Fort Wayne and Martha Kelsaw-Matthews of Coy, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Hawkins; parents, Fred and Martha Kelsaw, Sr,; brothers, Stratman Kelsaw, Effric Kelsaw, Sr., Lore Kelsaw, Sr. and Paul Kelsaw; sisters, Mary Kyles and Florence Archer; nieces, Florence Burney, Nancy Nichols and Gloria Kelsaw; nephews, Leon Kyles and Effric Kelsaw, Jr.

Funeral service is 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2013 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
