MUNCIE - Harold G. Fauquher, 84, passed away on June 3, 2013 in Muncie, after a brief illness, surrounded by the family he loved so much. He had been a resident of Bethel Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center since April.

He was the born March 5, 1929, the son of Harold C. and Irene (Bellinger) Fauquher in Evansville, Indiana. Harold was a 1947 graduate of Evansville Bosse High School and attended Evansville University and Earlham College.

Harold was a long time manufacturing and engineering manager with Chrysler Motors, International Harvester and Ball Corporation. He retired from Ball Corporation as Director of Industrial Engineering and Manager of Machine Repair in 1992 after thirty-four years of service in management positions at Ball Corporation manufacturing facilities in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma and California.

Harold was active as a Boy Scout leader for over twenty-five years in Evansville, Indiana and Muncie, Indiana and was a recipient of the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. He had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II and the Yorktown Lions Club. As an active member of the Yorktown United Methodist Church he served as Chairman of the Trustees and member of the Finance Committee, Staff Parish Committee, Church Council, and Boy Scout Liaison and was a long time coordinator of the church's holiday food basket project. Over the years he provided volunteer service for many organizations including Muncie Mission, Yorktown Band Boosters, Boy Scouts, Muncie Civic Theatre, Emens Auditorium, Meals on Wheels and American Health Network.

Harold is survived by the love of his life, his wife of sixty-four years, Delois (Hill) Fauquher; three sons and two daughters, Terry M. Fauquher (wife, Toni), of Fishers, Indiana, Ronald K. Fauquher (wife, Cheryl) of Muncie, Indiana, Michael G. Fauquher of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, Brenda J. Pavey (special friend, Mike Diehl) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lois S. Bemis (husband, Mike) of Yorktown, Indiana; a brother, Richard Fauquher (wife, Susie) of Oviedo, Florida; two sister-in-laws, Betty Davis and Roberta Farrand (husband, Jim) of Evansville, Indiana. Harold was blessed by fifteen grandchildren, Cherish Hensley (husband, Brad), P.J. Fauquher (wife, Lori), Gabriel Fauquher, Jennifer Fauquher, Andrew Fauquher (wife, Sara), Joshua Fauquher, Erin Couch (husband, Rob), Cassie Pavey, Andrea Pavey, Brayton Pavey, Jacob Bemis, Emily Bemis, Bryan Bemis, Chris Richard (wife, Elaine), and Tim Richard. He was also blessed with eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Steve Gray and a great-granddaughter, Paige Newberry.

The family wishes to provide a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation center for their wonderful care and compassion.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Yorktown United Methodist Church with Pastor Cindy Osgood presiding. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery in Yorktown. Services are being coordinated by Gant Funeral Home of Yorktown.

Family and friends are invited to visitation services from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Yorktown United Methodist Church or one hour before the services on Friday, June 7, 2013.
