Burgess was the daughter of Jas Donaldson and Jennie Hunt (both of New York) , female, white, married housewife, born January 14, 1854 in Lenawee Co., Michigan and died on July 30, 1913 in Ithaca, Gratiot Co., Mich at the age of 59 years 6 months and 16 days, cause of death inflamation of stomach and ? colon. Informant was Jas Burgess of Ithaca, Mich. Burial was on August 3, 1913 in Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, Michigan.
Father: Caleb S. Ferguson, born NY State 15 AUG 1830; married Martha Jane Hunt 24 AUG 1851 in Lenawee County, MI. Moved to Jefferson/Dodge County, WI, when Martha Jane left Caleb and moved back home to Michigan winter 1856. Divorce was uncontested and granted February 1859 by the Marshall County Circuit Court. Caleb Ferguson died in Marshall County, IN 2 JAN 1862. Clarissa had 2 half brothers she never knew--Charles and Semer Caleb Ferguson (my g-grandfather).
